Die Anzahl der ben\u00f6tigten Kammern, richtet sich nach dem Abgasvolumenstrom, der Schadstoffbeladung an Kohlenwasserstoffen sowie dem thermischen Wirkungsgrad und teilweise auch dem kundenseitig zugelassenen Druckverlust des Systems.<\/p><p>Bei den Systemen befindet sich unten der Roh- und Reingaskanal, der wiederum an den Konus mit den Umschaltklappen angebracht ist. \u00dcber dem Konus beginnt das W\u00e4rmespeicherbett, an dessen Ende sich der Oxidationsraum beginnt.<\/p><p>Im Oxidationsraum selbst ist die Beheizungseinrichtung montiert, welche entweder durch Brennersystem oder durch elektrische Beheizung realisiert wird. Die Oxidation findet zwischen 720 und 850 \u00b0C statt und die maximale Brennraumtemperatur liegt bei 1.100 \u00b0C.<\/p><p>Im Normalfall wird bei der Auslegung versucht mittels der Speichermasse und den im Abgas befindlichen Schadstoffen den autothermen Betrieb der Anlage zu erreichen, bei der zum Erhalt der Oxidationstemperatur keine Zusatzenergie in Form von Gas oder elektrischer Energie mehr ben\u00f6tigt wird.<\/p><p>Bei 3 und Mehrkammersystemen wird eine Sp\u00fcllufteinrichtung installiert, die den mit Rohgas beaufschlagten Beh\u00e4lter mittels Reingas zu sp\u00fclen, bevor durch diesen das Reingas in die Reingasleitung geleitet wird. Dier Sp\u00fclvorgang verdr\u00e4ngt die verbleibenden Rohgasschadstoffe aus dem Konusbereich, welche ansonsten den Reingaswert verschlechtern w\u00fcrden. Die Ausf\u00fchrung des Sp\u00fclluftsystems ist abh\u00e4ngig davon, ob der Anlagenventilator vor oder nach dem System installiert ist.<\/p><p>Erreicht die Anlage den \u00fcberautothermen Zustand besteht die M\u00f6glichkeit der Installation eines hei\u00dfen Bypasses. \u00dcber diesen wird hei\u00dfes Reingas aus der Brennkammer direkt in das Reingas nach der Anlage geleitet.
